She is an NCCP Level 3 Certified Coach and an accredited Brevet Level Judge, qualified to coach and judge at both national and international events. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Physical Education with a specialization in Athletic Therapy. Beyond her coaching& judging role, Iveta also serves on various boards and committees and is a passionate advocate for the development of rhythmic gymnastics in Alberta and across Canada.
Throughout her journey as an athlete, coach, and judge, Iveta has been closely mentored by Olga Khabarova, whose guidance has greatly influenced her technical expertise and coaching philosophy. As a gymnast, Iveta earned Provincial Champion titles in the Novice, Junior, and Senior categories and went on to become the Canadian Junior Level 9 National Champion in 2011. She was a member of the Canadian Junior National Team from 2011 to 2012, and was selected to the Canadian Senior National Team for the group event in 2013.
With over a decade of coaching experience, Iveta has guided numerous athletes to success at provincial, regional, and national level competitions. She is passionate about creating unique choreography and tailoring it to each athlete’s strengths and abilities. Drawing on her elite athletic background and education in athletic therapy, she emphasizes safe, long-term athlete development through proper technique, injury prevention, and the development of strong physical foundations. Iveta is dedicated to helping every athlete reach their individual potential while fostering a supportive environment where gymnasts feel confident and inspired. She believes in helping young athletes not only achieve success, but also develop a lifelong love for this beautiful sport.
Olga has been a cornerstone of Chinook Rhythmic since being invited to coach in Canada in 1990. After many years serving as Head Coach, she now continues to support the club in a Senior Coach and Advisor role, sharing her extensive knowledge, experience, and passion for athlete development with both gymnasts and coaches.
Olga is currently an NCCP Level 3 Coach and an internationally accredited Brevet Judge, qualified to judge at international events. She also holds the distinguished Master of Sport designation from Russia and has earned two university degrees, including a degree from St. Petersburg’s Academy of Physical Culture and Sports as a highly qualified instructor. Throughout her career, Olga has been recognized not only for her coaching excellence, but also as a renowned choreographer. Her work has included the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show, the Grey Cup, and collaborations with accomplished performers and dancers including Tate McRae.
Olga’s coaching philosophy is centered on bringing out the best in every gymnast and helping each athlete recognize and achieve their true potential. She is deeply committed to proper technical mechanics, athlete health, and long-term safety, believing that strong foundations create both successful and confident athletes.
For more than three decades, Olga has been a driving force in the development of rhythmic gymnastics in Canada. In addition to coaching numerous athletes to positions on the Canadian Junior and Senior National Teams and guiding gymnasts who have represented Canada internationally, she has also played a vital role in mentoring and developing the next generation of coaches and judges across the country. Her leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence have helped shape the growth of the sport nationwide. Olga continues to leave a lasting legacy in Canadian rhythmic gymnastics and is widely recognized as one of the country’s most respected and influential coaches.
Katarina began her journey with Chinook Rhythmic Gymnastics Club at the age of five and quickly developed a love for the sport. As a gymnast, she competed at both the provincial and national levels, earning multiple Provincial titles and qualifying for National Championships several times. Katarina qualified for the High Performance category at the 2014 Elite Canada Competition right before her retirement in 2015. Having been part of the club as a gymnast, she brings a deep understanding of the athlete experience to her coaching.
With over a decade of coaching experience, Katarina has worked with gymnasts across all levels, from recreational to competitive. She has become a key leader within the club, serving as the recreational program coordinator for the past four years where she has supported the development of an engaging program that builds foundational skills and fosters a love for rhythmic gymnastics. Katarina also plays an active role in preparing athletes for competitions, helping them build confidence, resilience, and performance readiness.
Katarina is NCCP Competition 1 Certified and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western University. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Counseling at Yorkville University, with the goal of becoming a registered psychologist. Katarina is passionate about helping athletes fall in love with the sport while building confidence, strong foundational skills, and a positive mindset. She strives to create a supportive environment where gymnasts can challenge themselves, develop resilience, and gain skills that extend beyond sport into everyday life.
Elizaveta Rudenko is a former national-level rhythmic gymnast from Russia and a Master of Sport of Russia, with competitive experience in both individual and group rhythmic gymnastics. With a strong athletic foundation and over 11 years of coaching experience, she has dedicated her career to developing technically strong, confident, and artistic athletes.
For 7 years, Elizaveta coached gymnasts in Vancouver, preparing athletes for Provincial and Western level competitions. For the past 3 years, she is coaching and preparing competitive gymnasts at Chinook Rhythmic Gymnastics Club.
Elizaveta is NCCP Competition 1 Certified and combines high-level competitive experience with modern flexibility and conditioning methods. She also holds a Stretching Coach Diploma from St. Petersburg Fitness College and is a certified stretching coach through Top Stretching Academy.
Her coaching philosophy focuses on individualized athlete development, proper technique, flexibility, artistry, discipline, and creating a supportive environment where athletes can grow both physically and mentally.
With more than 15 years of experience in Sport and Physical Education, Tatiana brings a strong foundation of knowledge, passion, and dedication to athlete development. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport & Physical Education from Moldova, along with Gymnastics Foundations Certification in Canada, Tatiana combines international education with hands-on coaching expertise.
Over the past two years at Chinook, Tatiana has developed strong foundations in our recreational and pre-competitive athletes, helping young gymnasts build confidence, strength, coordination, and fundamental skills in a positive and supportive environment.
At the heart of Tatiana’s coaching philosophy is fostering a love of learning. By encouraging curiosity, perseverance, and personal growth, she strives to create an atmosphere where every athlete feels motivated to reach their full potential while enjoying the journey of gymnastics.
Olivia brings over 16 years of coaching experience to Chinook RG, working with gymnasts across all levels - from recreational beginners to high performance athletes. As a coach, she has developed gymnasts who have gone on to compete at both regional and national championships, with multiple athletes achieving podium finishes under her guidance.
Olivia trained for 12 years as a national-level rhythmic gymnast and was a member of both the Junior and Senior National Teams, giving her a deep understanding of what it takes to excel. She holds an NCCP Level 3 Coaching Certification and is a certified Brevet 4 Judge, meaning she understands not only how to train gymnasts, but how they are evaluated at the competitive level. She is also certified in Alixa Sutton's Flexibility Module 1. Olivia holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and works full time at the largest Canadian general contractor, specializing in construction technology. She also volunteers her time on the Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta Board of Directors, as well as Gymnastics Canada's Judge Development Working Group.
Her coaching philosophy is rooted in building confidence through technical precision. Since the beginning, she has had a deep passion for rhythmic gymnastics because of its rare combination of technical mastery and artistic expression. Being able to develop that same passion in young gymnasts is what keeps Olivia in the gym!
